Ben Harris Despite being a raw one-man UGBM release, these four tracks amount to so much more. At turns reminding me of blown out psychedelica, occult kraut-rock, ritualised tape abuse, early experimental neo-folk and even the proggier end of sludge music - Cast Upon A Flooded Forest has a weirdly uplifting quality and a (dare I say it) lushness to it that one isn't accustomed to in black metal. If you're here looking for another cold and misanthropic blast of miserable metal, this might surprise you! Favorite track: Untitled II.

Revenant Marquis continues with the subterranean vocals on this album. Percussion sound on all tracks has a very large sound, especially the bass drum. Guitar is generally very clean. The more I listen, the more I get Xasthur vibes, but with a more rock and roll influence. Still very depressive and chaotic. A cool album! QQBeastMode
